Strengthen Our Sisters – Invitation for Bids
Strengthen our sisters is seeking sealed bids for family shelter renovation projects. Interested and qualified professionals should submit their proposals to Sandra Ramos, offices of Strengthen Our Sisters Inc, PO Box 1089, Hewitt, New Jersey 07421 by Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 10:00AM, at which time all bids will be opened and read aloud. SCOPE OF SERVICES
Strengthen Our Sisters renovation project. The hired contractor will obtain the necessary building permits/zoning from town officials. All labor, materials and township fees must be included in bids. All contractors must be licensed and insured.
PROJECTS IN NEED OF FUNDING
Requires individual proposals for each of the projects listed below.
Project # 1- Flooring-Remove all current flooring to dining room, hallway and 1st floor bathroom. Replace all necessary flooring and subfloor, install new commercial grade flooring.
Project # 2 – Install exterior drain to existing driveway. Widen new draining system; create new drain with increased pitch so it does not overflow into living areas.
Project # 3 -1st floor bathroom: Demo bathroom to studs include tub walls, remove sink and toilet, remove flooring and replace, replace sheetrock, install new hardi boards in tub for tiling, install tiling, vanity and toilet. (ADA compliant)
Project # 4 – Installation of 6 kitchenettes including architected drawings, appliances and fixtures. Completion of job requires Certificate of Occupancy.
Project # 5 – Air purification system for units 5-8
Project # 6 – New security/privacy fencing approx.400 feet. Replacement of existing 6 foot fence, must be pressure treated, including privacy gate around dumpster.
*All project must remove all debris from property and dispose of properly.
